Spartan Global in conjunction with MSU Students for Fair Trade is proud to host Oscar Santillán: The Connection Between Fair Trade and Microfinance. Oscar Santillán is the President of his local village of Agato, Ecuador. He has helped preserve the Quichua community through sustainable development, local educational initiatives, musical work, and the building of a local museum for ancient Quichua artifacts. Everybody, this is our big event. Members from all around the community will gather in Michigan State University's Student Union building to celebrate fair trade, community unity, and listen to our guest speakers present and inform about fair trade. If you are new to fair trade and just want to learn about it, or if you have been involved in fair trade groups for years, this is a great opportunity to learn and get involved. |
