Fair Trade Market this Saturday 10/06/2009
Hello hello, Hope everyone's been in good health. This Saturday Kirabo will be at the Lansing Center for Michigan Power Shift 2009's Fair Trade and Local Market, which runs from October the 9th through 11th. There are some other great activities going on, so check it out; but do make sure you head out there to support fair trade. Also, Gail from Kirabo needs some volunteers to help her out at the stand for an hour or so on Saturday. Call Kirabo at (517) 337-8000 or email kirabo@att.net to get in touch and help out. It's a lot of fun, I promise. Cheers! 2 Comments Kirabo Second Anniversary Party 09/12/2009
Hey everybody, Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, Kirabo will be celebrating its second anniversary hourly gift give-a-ways, modeling the new fall clothes, samplings of teas, coffees, chocolate, DVD showing of the artisans, a presentation from MSU Professor Paulette Stenzel (our faculty adviser) about Fair Trade families in Nicaragua, and more things than I have time or space to list here. MSU Students for Fair Trade really recommend everyone stops in. I personally really enjoyed the coffee cupping last year, so call and register a seat for that as soon as you can everyone! I'm passing on Kirabo's flyer as word and pdf attachments. Hope to see everyone there.

Wow, I can't say how great it was working with everybody this semester. We accomplished a lot if you think about it, and I really had a great time doing it as I'm sure you all did. There are no more meetings or events for us until Fall most likely, but I will continue to try to update the webpage. Lastly, I want to recognize our members who are graduating this semester. They have poured themselves into this group and not just for their own sakes. Many people don't believe in altruism, but I think it is hard to refute in the face of the commitment that our members have made. I have lasting memories of each of them, and I hope they take away some great memories of their time working with MSUSFT and the community here in Michigan, and I hope they will continue to work with us on all their happy travails Elections Tonight, Earth Day tomorrow 04/21/2009
For all the members, we are having officer elections tonight, so come ready to vote. World Fair Trade Day 04/07/2009
